Gown Girl: The most eye-catching looks from the Paris couture show

In today’s hustle and bustle, how do you even begin to talk about something as seemingly trivial as high fashion? In many ways, the incredibly expensive gowns created for the red carpet and the world’s elite have never felt so irrelevant or so deafening.

The legendary house of Chanel came up with an idea before the start of Paris Fashion Week: “Beauty in the imperfections of time” was the theme of a short film released by the brand. It is true that we live in imperfect times, but despite the chaos of the world around us, it may be possible to take a moment to appreciate beauty.

The biannual fashion shows in Paris showcase the bold ideas of today’s best fashion designers, crafted by some of the world’s most skilled artisans. In a way, it’s art.

The Schiaparelli brand wants your full attention!

Made from “pre-2007 technological artifacts,” according to the show notes, the robot babies and robot dresses required close scrutiny while legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath painted the models’ ears silver and adorned them with jewels-an intricate process that took three people three hours each. -This intricate process took three people hours each.
